“Once it is recognized that the so-called powers of this world are not powers, it will not be long before heaven is established on earth. There is only one power. The belief in two powers which constitutes the carnal mind is temporal power, and it operates as mental and physical power only as long as the belief exists. Once you come, even in a measure, to the realization of God—no good powers, no bad powers, only God, and only God-power—and to the realization that this belief of two powers operates as a universal malpractice, an anti-Christ, a nothingness, then gradually do you become free. When a tempter appears in our lives, it’s presentation can seem very real, and it can get pretty noisy. The this-world question we mostly get caught up in is: do we see the hypnotist as an advisor or as a liar? The Truth is that the appearance in the first place, the tempter, or the hypnotist has no basis in reality at all in God’s Kingdom and there is nothing more we need to do about it. Who told you there is a lack to drag us down, or an improvement to make things better? The tempter is a baseless and bodyless noise—nothing really—and the more we See the Truth, the less we are tempted by the appearance. There is nothing to battle, nothing to improve. Battling and begging for improvements are just a distraction, like static on the radio, but, if you listen carefully and focus, you can hear the radio just fine. Dear friends, we are not dealing with anything personal, but with ignorance. Anti-Christ is a thought of an appearance unfounded in God, or a sense of separation from God. Malpractice is lying or bearing false witness. Jesus was tempted on many levels to accept the suggestions and the so-called promises of a false power bearing false witness. He Knew they were all lies and would never come true. The Reality is that we Truly Live by the Word, the Power and in Worship and service of God. Lies, no matter how good the presentation of them is, dissolve instantaneously in the Presence of Truth and will stay dissolved, unless we entertain the lies again. The idea of power always suggests one power doing something to another power, and that is why we have to be thoroughly saturated with the principle of nonpower. Therefore, we need never call upon God or God's power to do anything. So we get used to the idea of not turning to a God-power, or the power of truth over error, or good over evil, or God over devil.
