“Why We Do Not Experience the Kingdom

The question may arise in your mind: If God is present, if God already knows my need, if it is God's good pleasure to give me the Kingdom, then why am I not experiencing it? The only answer to that question is that instead of recognizing that God is, that God is present where you are, that God already knows your need, and that it is His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom, you have perhaps gone way off somewhere trying to find God, trying to get God-power, trying to discover what you can do to bring God into your experience. You have been looking in the wrong direction: You have been looking where God is not, that is, where God is not as far as your immediate demonstration of harmony is concerned. ~Joel S Goldsmith

I know this: that if you really want to learn about God, teach about God. It forces you to focus on all aspects of the subject. Good teachers should be able to answer easy questions and will have to answer tough ones too. Some times it takes me a while in stillness and pondering to be able to answer a question, but it is a great opportunity to immerse in the Truth and Let the Truth unfold. What Jesus is teaching his disciples in John 6 is definitely “an hard saying”. It is as hard as can be for this-world consciousness, impossible for most casual listeners. The Truth passeth understanding in this-world. Many of the followers of Jesus murmured among themselves, and left him after this teaching. They stopped Following and returned back to their former lives. It is very hard Principle to grasp, for sure.

Only in the Stillness and in the Silence of Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High will we Hear the Word. This takes practice being inwardly still. Quiet yourself as David did. Weaning oneself off this-world’s universal belief is not easy. Be patient with yourself, but be focused and diligent. ~Al Denninger
